Welcome to the Birmingham, Alabama Chapter

The Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) is a tax exempt membership organization that connects women to learn, play and enjoy golf for business and for fun.  The organization was established in 1991 with 1500 members and the headquarters is still located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.  Today the EWGA has grown into a network of nearly 20,000 members in over 120 chapters in the United States, Canada and Italy.  In the 2010 member satisfaction survey, members gave the EWGA an 82 percent satisfaction rating.

The Birmingham Chapter was established in 1994 and has a membership today of approximately 80.  The Chapter offers activities for all golfers.  These include new golfer clinics, intermediate clinics, advanced clinics; evening and morning leagues at different golf courses; new golfer outings; weekend outings every month and social/networking events.

Volunteering


 Are you interested in volunteering but not quite sure what there is to do?  Some volunteer opportunities available include:  membership committee, mentoring, league/open play coordinators, chapter/semi-finals, golf events, girl’s golf, regions senior golf championship and lots more.  Being a volunteer is so vital to the chapter and we want you to get involved.  Please contact Terri Henderson, Leadership Chair thenders58@yahoo.com for more information or to sign up to volunteer.  And remember our recognition points program, the more you do, the more points you will earn toward winning your free membership for next year. 

Southern Golf Technology Contribution to EWGA

Southern Golf Technology has agreed to support our Birmingham chapter by contributing 10% of all purchases made by our members back to the  chapter.  We appreciate his continued efforts to strengthen our organization through his financial contributions.  We encourage you to shop for clubs, golf bags and shoes at Southern Golf.  Also when you need clubs re-gripped, fitted or customized Loren at Southern Golf is the place!   To get the 10% donated back to our chapter please show your membership card at time of purchase.  Happy shopping and club fitting!!

 

 

Get Golf Ready!

Several of our golf club sponsors and golf club network members are participating in the Get Golf Ready events this year.  These are especially good for new/beginner golfers or someone who might be rusty and needs to brush up on their skills.  Click the link to see the list of golf clubs participating in Alabama.  Among the participants are Ballantrae, Highland Park, Limestone Springs, Cider Ridge, FarmLinks, Eagle Point, and RTJ at Oxmoor Valley.  Check it out today!
