Handicap Services

HANDICAP INFORMATION Posting your golf scores into GHIN or GN21 for golf played in Ohio begins March 25, 2011 and ends October 31, 2011.  If you play in other states such as Florida, you should post your scores anytime during the year.  Southern and most western states do not have seasonal posting and you should post your scores anytime you play there.  You can go to the GHIN “Revision Schedule” (bottom of page under USGA links) on the GHIN website and locate any state you play in and see if it is seasonal or year round posting.  If you have any questions, please email me at magpies35@woh.rr.com.

You have two choices for handicap services: 1)  Miami Valley Golf Association GHIN service or 2)  EWGA’s (GN21) GHIN With the GHIN service, you will need to pay the current annual subscription fee of $25. GHIN service provides membership in the Miami Valley Golf Association and the Dayton District Women’s Golf Association (DDWGA), which makes you eligible to participate in their events and supports your local USGA regional golf association.

GHIN allows you to post scores via the internet and review your scoring record, as well as the scoring records of others within the GHIN system. You will also be provided a card that you can print with your Handicap index. If you want to enroll in the GHIN Handicap service, please complete the Handicap Registration Form and return it to me via email or snail mail.  After enrolling in GHIN, you will be provided A GHIN number to use when you login to post your scores.

If you have questions, don’t hesitate to contact me (Cheryl Davis) at (937) 427-0352 or via email.

GN21

You can also obtain a USGA Handicap Index through the EWGA GN21. The cost of the service is included in your EWGA membership dues. If you elect to switch from GHIN to GN21, you will need to re-enter your scoring history into GN21. (Enter the most recent 20 scores if you have that many available) (Remember, your handicap is based on a rolling scoring history that transcends the playing year.)  GN21 is accessible only through the Association headquarters Web site www.ewga.com.

To use the GN21 system, you must go to the EWGA national site, www.ewga.com. Next, if you have not activated your initial login to the EWGA website, you must do that.  To do this, go to www.ewga.com, click on MEMBER LOGIN at the top right, and enter your email address and Password1 for your password.  You can change your password after you first login.  After you have logged in, go to HANDICAP on the left side.  This will take you to your GN21 screen.  GN21 allows you to post scores on-line, track personal game statistics, print a handicap card, view your scoring history, etc.  For information on posting scores, see below.
