Founded in 1992, the Fairfield County, CT Chapter provides a positive environment of acceptance and camaraderie for approximately 300 women who want to learn and enjoy the game of golf. The chapter offers golf for all ability levels.
Offerings include: 18-hole monthly tournaments, 9 hole outings for new golfers, weekly leagues, clinics with LPGA and PGA teaching pros, rules and etiquette seminars, indoor and on course lessons, networking events, interstate invitational golf events, annual golf conference, weekly private and public course outings hosted by the membership and a chapter championship with the opportunity to advance onto the largest amateur golf tournament for women.
The Chapter also sponsors the LPGA USGA Girl's Golf Fairfield County, CT site for the Girl Scouts of Connecticut Council, introducing girls 7-17 to the game of golf. The Chapter members have volunteer opportunities at LPGA, PGA and Senior PGA tournaments. Several area Chapters were responsible for Marshalling two holes at the 2006 Men's US Open at Winged Foot. Michelle McGann played a round of golf with a chapter member who won the annual Member-Get-a-Member contest.
