The Symposium On Affordable Golf is held annually in Southern Pines, North Carolina and is sponsored by Richard Mandell Golf Architecture. Richard Mandell, the principal in the firm, feels that one of golf’s biggest problems is that it costs too much for golfers to play. Said another way, many of golf’s other problems may be less impactful in a $40 round of golf as compared to a $125 round of golf.
The mission of the Symposium On Affordable Golf is to raise awareness and understanding of the challenges of the golf industry through open discussion, exchange of ideas and the highlighting of successes that promote the health and sustainability of the game of golf. In planning for this year’s Symposium, a survey is being conducted in an effort to gather information about the golf experience that the golfer – you - really wants to have.
Thus far, the survey has shown good results. However, they primarily represent the opinions of low handicap, male golfers. This is an opportunity for women golfers to be heard.
Please go to the survey website at: http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22EG9LPVMXR and provide your input. The results of the survey will be presented and discussed at the Symposium On Affordable Golf on October 29 and 30, 2012. There is no cost to attend the symposium.
