What is the Atlanta/Birmingham Challenge?
The Atlanta/Birmingham (ATL/Bham) Challenge is an annual event that occurs between the Atlanta and Birmingham chapters of EWGA. This tradition began in 2002. The chapter hosting the event alternates each year. The format is modeled after the Solheim Cup match play event. The teams consist of ladies committed to a weekend getaway full of fun and winning the bragging rights for the year.
Format of Play
A two day match play competition with each chapter playing twelve players each day. Each chapter will have a team of two competing against each other in formats of scramble, alternate shot, best ball and singles. Each format is played for nine holes. Each match won is one point. The chapter with the most points wins the competition.
