The above is 77-characters long - Short enough to tweet and still have room for hashtags. These are abbreviations or slang used by kids online in chat rooms or twitter. Below is a short compilation of these acronyms for the benefit of those of us that learned keyboard skills on a typewriter!

Facepalm - It can be used to convey dismay, disappointment, ridicule, or disapproval

Headdesk – Extreme facepalm. It’s the real life equivalent of putting your head on your desk and shaking it in disbelief

IMHO/IMO – In my humble opinion, in my opinion

IRL – In Real Life

JSYK – Just so you know

LB – Like back. You are requesting people to like your post.

PAW – Parents are Watching. Beware what you discuss or post, my folks are watching me

MRW: My Reaction When

MIRL: Me In Real Life – These three are usually used with Meme’s or pictures posted

SMH – Shaking my head

TBH – To be Honest
