2017 EWGA CENTRAL OREGON MATCH PLAY

EWGA Central Oregon's Match Play Team at their final day of competition. The team earned a total of 3 points. Nice job ladies! Janelle Strom, Sharon Stanton, Shari Howard, Debbie Bensching, Pam Fortier, Laura Thompson, Halley Grant Kramer and Diane Arrott Kirpach, thanks for representing our chapter so well!

The EWGA holds the national EWGA Cup tournament series each year where members form teams of 8 players and register to compete in regional qualifiers throughout the country.  The competition is a two day event where each player participates in one singles match and one four-ball match to earn points for their team.  The top teams from each qualifier advance to the national tournament in November.  Visit http://www.ewgacup.com/home for more information.

Third, SHARE with your friends, local pro, starters etc., that you belong to EWGA and are growing women’s golf in Central Oregon with your participation and alliance with EWGA. Invite them to join or become a sponsor in the future.

Fourth, PARTICIPATE regularly. A simple and attainable goal is to participate in “1” EWGA event every month. Take a look at the calendar, hit the link, push the RSVP button and do it. Take the time for you, to go golf, once a month. Whether it is a clinic, a social event, 9 holes or 18 holes, once a month keeps you as a priority. That feels really good!

Everything we do in our lives is about creating relationships, actively, on a daily basis. If you have questions or ideas on how to spread the word of EWGA, please send me an email and lets discuss. winkzeal@mac.com

LPGA - EWGA Strategic Alliance

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and the Executive Women's Golf Association (EWGA) have jointly announced plans to form a strategic alliance to further promote the growth of women's golf.

Together with the LPGA Women's Network, this alliance will create a seamless transition for women looking to go from aspiring player to recreational golfer. The two organizations believe their partnership will promote the growth of women's golf and serve as an advocate for positive change within the game.

"Our strategic alliance with the LPGA and the LPGA Women’s Network marks the beginning of a new era for women’s golf,” said Jane Geddes, Chief Executive Officer of the EWGA. "With the support of the LPGA, we look forward to creating a clear pathway for women golfers to play our sport by attracting thousands of new, aspiring players to the game as well as adding more exciting playing opportunities for current EWGA members."

More specific details regarding the alliance will be communicated within the next few months. Until then, EWGA members may learn more about the announcement, including the official press release and frequently asked questions at ewga.com.
