Professional Development

As a goal for the 2017 EWGA season, please help us share the passion, fun, friendships and connections delivered through EWGA! Its easy to do.

First, LIKE our Facebook page.

LOCAL https://www.facebook.com/EWGACO and NATIONAL https://www.facebook.com/EWGA1

Second, CONNECT with us on Linkedin:

1)  go to https://www.linkedin.com
2)  search for EWGA Central Oregon Chapter and EWGA (Executive Women's Golf Association)
3)  Connect from your LinkedIn profile (if you don’t have one, it is a good chance to establish one.)

Third, SHARE with your friends, local pro, starters etc., that you belong to EWGA and are growing women’s golf in Central Oregon with your participation and alliance with EWGA. Invite them to join or become a sponsor in the future.

Fourth, PARTICIPATE regularly. A simple and attainable goal is to participate in “1” EWGA event every month. Take a look at the calendar, hit the link, push the RSVP button and do it. Take the time for you, to go golf, once a month. Whether it is a clinic, a social event, 9 holes or 18 holes, once a month keeps you as a priority. That feels really good!

Everything we do in our lives is about creating relationships, actively, on a daily basis. If you have questions or ideas on how to spread the word of EWGA, please send me an email and lets discuss. winkzeal@mac.com

President's Message

November - Celebrate Champions

November is Celebrate Champions month! Our numerous events and socials would not be possible without dedicated volunteers; they are our champions. Cheers to Golf Coordinators Paula Killion, Kathy Crager and Shari Howard for coordinating 440 tee times! Kudos to Handicap Chair Delores Pliska for sharing your handicap knowledge! Gratitude to Newsletter Chair Diane Kirpach for faithfully publishing the Tee Times through rain, sleet or hail! Appreciation to Spring Kick-Off Coordinators Kellie Harper, Shari Howard and Kathy Phillips for throwing a fun-filled Spring Kick-Off! Gratefulness to Marketing Coordinator Laura Thompson for her marketing insights! Thank you to amazing Website Chair Jessie Matsumura for figuring out the nuances of our website and keeping it updated! Appreciation to the dynamic Nominating Committee Vicky Thomas, Chair Diane Kirpach, and Tam Mills for a successful election of our newest board members Judy Kincheloe, Kathy Crager and Jessie Matsumara.

The EWGA Central Oregon Board voted unanimously to establish an annual “Vicki Parish Volunteer of the Year Award,” to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of our great volunteer members. Vicki Parish embodied the true spirit of a great volunteer, using her wealth of computer knowledge and experience to manage the chapter’s website, as well as make other significant volunteer contributions to EWGA Central Oregon.

July 26,1944 – September 18, 2017

The award recipient will receive a plaque and a $100 gift certificate from a Chapter Sponsor, paid for out of general chapter funds (when financially feasible).  The criteria for this award is that the person must: Be a current member of EWGA Central Oregon, have volunteered for the Chapter sometime within the past 12 months in a non-board member capacity, and has made a significant contribution to the Chapter through their volunteer work.

Mary_and_Diane_Volunteer_of_the_Year.jpegI am pleased to announce Queen Diane Kirpach was awarded the “Vicki Parish Volunteer of the Year” for her commitment and service to EWGA-CO. Diane has donated countless hours to EWGA-CO in several roles. She has served on the board as the Communication Director. She is the Account Administrator for both our website and Facebook account and provides the board weekly statistics. She chaired our 2018 Board of Directors Nominating Committee and most impressively she is the editor of our monthly newsletter. Thank you and congratulations!
