2012 Scholarship Opportunities
The LPGA Foundation is pleased to announce the 2012 scholarship opportunities that are available for female high school seniors who are planning on attending a college or university and have played golf during high school. These are: The Marilynn Smith Scholarship, The Dinah Shore Scholarship and The Phyllis G. Meekins Scholarship.
The Marilynn Smith Scholarship will award ten scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each and is for a female high school senior who is planning to play competitive golf in college.
The Dinah Shore Scholarship, one in the amount of $5,000, is for a female high school senior who will not be playing on a competitive collegiate golf team.
The Phyllis G. Meekins Scholarship, one in the amount of $1,250, is for a female high school senior who is playing collegiate golf and is from a recognized minority background and demonstrates financial need.
