Attention: Twilight League Announcements

*Starting May 22nd, our Tuesday Twilight League will move to Carolina Club in Margate, teeing off at 4:30 pm shotgun. Please be there 15 minutes before tee-time to get ready. RSVP by Monday at noon to Kathy Merklein - kathy4015@bellsouth.net. Plan to stay for drinks and/or dinner in the club's McDivots Restaurant.

*Beginning May 1st, the rate for Deer Creek Thursday Twilight League will be increased by one dollar, to $19.

Broward League 2012

Interest in the EWGA Broward League team for 2012 is tremendous! We are up to 25 members who have signed up to play on the EWGA team for the spring/summer Broward League. Parkland Golf & Country Club will be the host of the EWGA's home matches. There's still room on the team. Contact co-captains Linda K. New EWGA Member Scores Her First Ace!
Mattie Zuckerman just joined the EWGA Ft Lauderdale, FL Chapter the first week in September. While at a EWGA event at the Inverarry Country Club on November 19th, Mattie shot her first ever hole-in-one on the third hole, a par 3 that measures 105 yards. Mattie was the last person in her foursome to hit off the tee. Mattie's ball landed on the green and she thought it had stayed in front of the flag. When Mattie went to the green, however, she went to mark her ball and realized it was another lady's ball. Mattie then started thinking that it must have rolled off the back of the green. A short time later, one of her playing partners stepped over to the flag and looked inside the cup and saw Mattie's ball in there. Realizing she had made a hole-in-one, Mattie started jumping up and down and screaming that she finally (with more than twenty years of playing) made a hole-in-one! Mattie has enjoyed her new experience with EWGA so much that she has convinced three other friends to join EWGA!
