Description: Perfect for New Golfers. A Super Refresher for Experienced Players.
Our Learn, Lunch and Links event gives all golfers a great way to start the season with fresh knowledge. Held on Saturday, June 7 at Claremont Golf Club, instruction starts at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch and an educationally focused round of golf on the fun Claremont 9-hole course. You’ll receive excellent insights into this fascinating sport – from USGA Rules, Etiquette and Pace of Play, Handicap and Match Play shared by several of EWGA’s most experienced golfers: Jeanne Biggerstaff, Barb Bracken, Linda Erickson, and Suzy Off.
After lunch in the clubhouse, you’ll be able to apply what you learned first-hand on the links. On holes 1 to 3 you'll put pace of play tips into action. Holes 4 to 6 will bring USGA rules to life around water hazards, out of bounds and unplayable lies. The last three holes will let you sample the increasingly popular Match Play format.
