WELCOME

Welcome to the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) and welcome to our 2015 website!  We are in the process of updating the website with 2015 events and 2015 board members.

The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter consists of over 110 members from all over the Bay Area, from San Francisco down to Carmel and from the Eastbay to the Peninsula.

We offer a wide range of events all over the Bay Area for women, for the beginning golfer, the experienced competitor and those in between.   For those just starting out or short of time, we offer 9 hole events. For those who want to meet others in a social environment, we offer 18 hole events.  And, for those who would like to compete, we offer NCGA Associate Club events and competition leading to the EWGA National Events.  Along with our golf clinics and business networking events, there is something for everyone.

EWGA is about fun, friendship, opportunities to play golf and skill development. We hope that both renewing members, and new ones, will take full advantage of all that EWGA has to offer. Guests are welcome.  Come check us out!

Judy Owen, President

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • EWGA Championship Final Results

Tanya Boysen is a flight champion at the EWGA Championship!

The national level EWGA Championship was held this past weekend, October 30-31,at Westin Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage CA. Our chapter can be very proud. Tanya Boysen was the 1st place low gross champion in the 2nd flight - way to go Tanya! Our scramble team of Laurie Smith, Maureen Murray, Alex Breitman and Georgianne Stephen was also in contention; just one point off the 1st place leaders in a 3-way tie for 2nd place. A card-off put them in official 4th place - this is a great showing in a very tough field. Also representing our chapter at the national level in the 4th flight was Cathy Cheung. Congratulations to all, this is a great accomplishment!

And, last but not least, since the finals were on Halloween, the awards banquet included a costume contest in which our team was the 1st place winner in Wizard of Oz attire, can't wait to see the photos!
